Hi! I'm Graysen.
I do UX & Product Designer.
I'm also, a Master of Divinity.

My story (so far)

Driven & Creative

In and out of school, I've never been one to back away from complexity and thrive in creative leadership challenges.  My natural drive and curiosity compel me to always do better.

Bachelors in Religion

In college, I studied religion and philosophy; exploring the diversity and complexity of human thought.

Master of Divinity

My studies in ethics & theology brought empathetic thinking into a broader systemic context, exploring how beliefs and experiences fit together.

Jack of all trades

As a short term  consultant, I did a little of everything but quickly took on more responsibility. I began contributing to design decisions, learning the ins and outs of software design.

UX & Product Design

As a design team of one, I've found a great fit for my eclectic background: systemic thinking, empathic reasoning, and creative leadership.

Next Steps

I'm looking for a position where I can continue to push myself and become a design leader.

My process

My design process revolves around my experiences in ethics, counseling, and theology. Each of these disciplines demonstrates my commitment to active listening, deep empathy, and holistic thinking.

I emphasize the up-front work of generating empathy and gaining understanding in order to tackle the heart of the problem. This places the human elements of design in the center of my focus.

Creating a better form

PERRLA's existing Contact Support page cause problems for users and our Support staff. I updated our form by streamlining the content and meeting form heuristics.  These changes made the form easier for users and provided better information to our Support team – allowing them to solve user’s problems faster.

Church website renovation

I researched, designed, and developed a new website for a traditional church. Their existing WordPress site no longer met their needs or modern browser standards.  I worked with them on updating their content before building a new site in Webflow.
