I was born in the state with the best flag – South Carolina.
After college, I moved to Nashville, TN to get my Masters in Divinity. Then I got married and lived there for 7 years.
Then we sold everything and lived abroad for a year before ending up in Raleigh, NC.
I'm a Taurus if that means anything to you.
It doesn't mean much to me, but last year when I was living in Guatemala it meant a lot to a lot of people. Maybe you're one of them.
In that case, my moon is in Cancer and my ascendant is in Gemini. Do you know how long I'm going to live now?
I'm also an ENFP and a type 3 on the Enneagram.
Essentially, every personality test tells me that I'm pretty passionate about what I believe in, I am driven to make progress, and I enjoy it when people like me.
I'm also a leader and believe vision is something we need more of.
I am a bit of a hobby-dabbler.
I enjoy finding a new hobby, working to be come proficient at it and then add another hobby to the list.
I would consider snowboarding, photography, violin, beer brewing, guitar, painting, and furniture building some of my hobbies.
I believe in the power of good design to make people's lives better. But I'm not naïve about the problems it has introduced as well.
Dark design and patterns are at the root of many of the worst problems we face.
But, if our systems are broken, we must create systemic solutions to place the utmost value on our common humanity.
"Meddling Kids" is a campy retelling of a classic Scooby Doo type tale. There's monsters, a group of kid detectives, and even a dog with surprisingly good comprehension skills. But it isn't afraid to dive into the darker side of what happens when things go wrong.
"A mad scientist's concoction of H. P. Lovecraft, teen detectives, and a love of Americana, Edgar Cantero's Meddling Kids is a story filled with rich horror, thrilling twists, outright hilarity, and surprising poignancy."
"SAYER is a narrative fiction podcast set on Earth’s man-made second moon, Typhon. The eponymous SAYER is a highly advanced, self-aware AI created to help acclimate new residents to their new lives, and their new employment with Ærolith Dynamics."
Now that you know a little more about me, maybe it won't be as awkward when we chat. I'm pretty good at shooting the breeze if nothing else.
